Las Vegas Couple Finds ‘Ironwood’
by ASTORIA HOMES® a
Place to Call Home
Luck can play a factor when searching for that desired dream home. For Nelson and Diane Cohen, patience garnered the biggest reward as they now reside in ASTORIA HOMES®’ “Ironwood” gated community in Centennial Hills.
More than two years ago the Cohen’s made the decision to relocate to the Las Vegas Valley, having previously owned a home in Huntington Beach, Calif.. Nelson, an attorney, found that the legal job market in Las Vegas, as well as the cost of living, would provide more opportunities for his family.
The first step was finding the perfect home. Using the
ASTORIA HOMES® Web site as a search tool, the couple came across a floor plan that met their expectations. They purchased a home that features five bedrooms and four and a half baths, a two-car garage, and a beautifully landscaped front yard. The spacious backyard allowed the Cohen’s to put in a pool and still leave room for their two children to play freely.
“We had found this particular floor plan in another ASTORIA community and really liked it, but the units sold out rather quickly,” Diane recalled. “Luckily, we were patient, because Ironwood allowed us to purchase the floor plan we really wanted.”
Nelson, a former construction defect attorney, understood not only the importance of an aesthetically pleasing home, but a safe one as well.
“We hired a company to do a walk-through of the house before we closed the sale,” said Nelson. “Besides that, the floor plan and price were just unbeatable.”
Overall, the Cohen’s are extremely satisfied with their ASTORIA experience, citing the excellent customer service and follow-up after the sale.
“The customer service, before and after the sale was wonderful. They had two ASTORIA staff people who were constantly in the neighborhood, tending to whatever we needed,” Diane said.
