Neighborhoods: The Avenues at Tapestry

As Southern Nevada home prices start to mirror those of other metropolitan cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco, finding premier homes at affordable prices can become a challenge. First time homebuyers are untied in their request: Where can we find affordable homes that do not compromise on style, functionality and convenience?

The Avenues at Tapestry is the answer to this question. The community boasts single-family, detached homes that are specifically aimed towards the first time homebuyer. The Avenues, a member of ASTORIA HOMES'® renowned Triumph Neighborhood concept, offers quaint, low maintenance homes that prove ideal for singles, small families or those making the transition from renting to buying.

"We pride ourselves on staying knowledgeable about what our homebuyers are seeking," said ASTORIA HOMES' Senior Vice President of Sales Geoff Gorman. "With many of them buying their first home, they not only want the independence of being a home owner, they also desire a quiet and confortable haven, with lush surroundings and easy access to entertainment and shopping. The Avenues at Tapestry is the epitome of that vision."

Tapestry, consisting of distinct home communities The Avenues, The Courts, and The Lanes, is situated on the corner of Fort Apache and Severance in Centennial Hills Town Center in the Northwest part of the Valley. Tapestry is in a growing area that is in high demand from home buyers, equipped with nearby schools, family parks, casino resorts and easy access to Highways 95 and 215. Mount Charleston and Death Valley are just minutes away. Prices for all the homes start in the $200,000s adn $300,000s.

ASTORIA HOMES' Triumph Neighborhood concept develops homes in highly desired areas," said Gorman. "It's an attractive perk for homebuyers and eradicates the myth that affordable homes cannot be found in exceptional areas."

With five models to choose from, the homebuyer will find two- and three- bedroom homes, lofts, front courtyards and decks, and single-car garages.

Another feature of The Avenues at Tapestry is the sense of "interwoven" community that is created.

Aside from developing ideal communities with affordable price tags, the homebuilder is also dedicated to the environment and energy efficiency. ASTORIA HOMES' unfailing commitment to the health of the environment has been heralded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA named ASTORIA HOMES a 2006 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emisisions by building energy-efficient homes. ASTORIA HOMES now holds the 'Sustained Excellence Partner' distinction given to homebuilders who have accomplished the feat for three or more years.
