" Smoke Out" to Aid Employees in The Fight Against Smoking

ASTORIA HOMES is stepping up for the welfare of its own employees and has entered into a partnership with Xtend Life Laser Center to offer a Smoking Cessation Program for all of its employees who wish to quit smmoking. Last year the company participated in the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" campaign with its own "The Great ASTORIA Weight Off" by encouraging its employees to get in shape and lose wieight for a good cause. The participants lost 404.9 poinds for a total of $6,652 going towards much needed research and education to prevent heart disease amoung Americans. The company is gearing up to participate in the event again this year.
