for ideal home brings family to Aliante
master plan
Events,
amenities appeal to family's
desire for 'sense of community'
When the time came
for a larger and more elegant home,
the Edwards family chose the Aliante
master-planned community in North
Las Vegas.
"We drove through
every area of town," Jacquie
Edwards said of their six-month house
hunt. "The
day we reached Aliante, we were very
pleased with what we saw. We love
the idea of master-planned living
with new parks, walking trails,
a golf course, shopping and so many
other conveniences close to home.
"We also enjoy
the family-oriented community events
that are held throughout the year,
such as the outdoor concerts and
movies. there is a real sense of
community and everything we need
is within a short distance. It's
nice to know that once we are home,
we don't have to leave our communhity
in order to do things we enjoy."
Edwards and her husband
Gregory, purchased the Residence
224 design at ASTORIA HOMES' Prominence
neighborhood. The two-story home
measures 4,449 square feet with five
bedrooms, 3½ to 4½ baths,
dual staircases and a courtyard.
"We were first struck
by the dual staircases, which creates
a dramatic entry and is a beautiful
feature in the home," Edwards said.
"Next, we were impressed by the overall
layout of the home, which has lots
of bedrooms, including a huge master
suite with a retreat, plus a bonus
room and flex space.
"Also, my mother-in-law
is living with us and the private
suite on the main level works perfectly
for her. It's a home where everyone
in the household can have their own
space and privacy."
Aliante is a development
of North Valley Enterprises; an affiliate
of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb.
Home prices start from the high $100,000s
to the low $700,000s.
"We're very pleased
with our choice of Aliante," she
said. "We think it's a wonderful
place to live with lots of amenities
for people of all ages."
The master plan encompasses
1,905 acres, including two villages,
one for all ages and another, Sun
City Aliante, that is age qualified.
Amenities include the
Aliante Golf Club, a library, fire
station, three parks and 24 miles
of lighted trails. The first of three
schools is open. Commercial development
is planned to include a 40-acre resort
with gaming.
To visit, take U.S.
Highway 95 to the Interstate 215
(Las Vegas
Beltway) East exit. Make a right
onto Sky Pointe Drive, a right onto
Frontage Road and then left onto
the Aliante Parkway exit, then go
south.
The sales office is
open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
