Family Marks First Holiday Season in Aliante Home

Buyers count new Astoria residence as 'true blessing' at Christmastime

There's no place like home for the holidays for the family of the Rev. Donald McCoy. This season McCoy, his wife, Kim, and their 3-year-old daughter, Amaia, will celebrate their first Christmas in their new home within Aliante, a community in North Las Vegas.

"This is a true blessing," McCoy said. "We have a great sense of joy and appreciation to be able to have such a beautiful home. Christmastime is a time for being close to family and friends and for sharing your love, your joy and your home with others. Kim and I look forward to having both of our families and lots of friends here this year to enjoy the holiday together."

The McCoys are longtime residents of Southern Nevada.

"Our former home was very close to Aliante and we could see how nicely this community was developing," Kim McCoy said. "We were looking for a larger and more luxurious floor plan, and when we saw the Plan 225 model at ASTORIA HOMES' Prominence neighborhood, we knew we had found exactly what we wanted. It has many wonderful design features, including a dramatic entry, a beautiful dual staircase, a bonus room, flex room, an da master suite with a retreat and two baths. There are so many options in terms of how you can use the living space."

The two-story residence also has five bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. It measures 4,449 square feet and is highlighted by a courtyard entry. A three-car garage is standard.

The couple were also impressed by the design of the master plan.

"Aliante is a nice, new community that offers so much for families," McCoy added. "It has beautiful parks, a golf course, walking trails and lots of other opportunities for recreation. It's a beautiful place to own a home, and we're thrilled to be in our new home in time for the holidays."

Nearly 430 acres are designated for recreational and public purposes including the Aliante Golf Club, the 20-acre Nature Discover Park, Deer Springs Park, Aviary Park, 24 miles of trails, and an arroyo.

Plans include two elementary schools, the first of which is open, and a middle school. A library is under way. Roughly 100 acres are allocated for commercial development.

To visit the information gallery, take U.S. Highway 95 north to the Interstate 215 (Las Vegas Beltway) East exit. Make a right onto Sky Pointe Drive, a right onto Frontage Road, then a left onto the Beltway. Go east to Aliante Parkway and proceed south. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
