Astoria Homes Receives
Merit Award at Gold Nugget Awards Event
(Las Vegas) – Sia
Howe, director of marketing for Las Vegas-based
Astoria Homes, today announced Astoria Homes
has been honored with a Merit Award for its
newest community of 2002 – Silverado
Place.
Astoria Homes received
the recognition June 27 for the “Most
Affordable Project in the Western Region” at
the Gold Nugget Awards ceremony in San Francisco.
The event was hosted by the Premier Building
Show, an annual tradeshow and conference
serving the residential building industry.
“The Astoria team
is pleased to earn this recognition among
our peers and is proud to bring quality neighborhoods
to Southern Nevada,” said Astoria Homes
President Tom McCormick. “Silverado
Place has proven to be extremely successful
in the marketplace.”
Astoria Homes recorded record-breaking
sales with Silverado Place, a neighborhood
in Silverado Ranch that caters to first-time
homebuyers and families with young children.
Silverado Place features quaint two- and
three-bedroom homes ideal for young families
in a “neighborly” environment.
The homes range from 1,143 to 1,293 square
feet and are priced from $108,950 to $117,950.
Amenities of the new community
include two private community pools, a children’s
pool, two playgrounds with swing sets, an
outdoor basketball half-court and covered
picnic areas. Four of the five floor plan
options offer a courtyard in front of the
homes, and all offer decks with designer
exterior colors, giving each home a unique
look. Silverado Place homes also include
the standard quality features built into
all Astoria homes, such as the Energy Star® label
to conserve energy and lower utility bills,
and low E vinyl windows.
“Silverado Place fills
a very important need in the Las Vegas Valley
by providing affordable, quality homes in
good areas that many people otherwise couldn’t
afford,” Howe said.
Founded in 1995, Astoria
Homes is an award-winning homebuilder with
home closings exceeding 800 in 2001. Astoria's
other communities include: Canyon Trails
and Auburn Hills at Rhodes Ranch; VillaVillagio
in Seven Hills; and Ironwood and Parkside
Village in Centennial Hills.
