Astoria Homes Honored
with Two Awards at
2001 Homer Awards Event
Astoria Homes, a leading Southern
Nevada homebuilder, announced today it received
two Homer Awards and five Awards of Merit
during the 18th Annual Homer Awards of the
Southern Nevada Home Builders Association
event on October 13 at the MGM Grand Conference
Center.
Astoria's two Homer Awards
were in the category for "Best Model
Home Kitchen - 200 Square Feet and Under" for
the Residence 162 at its Auburn Hills Community.
The home designer for this floor plan was
Tracey Lee, Vice President of Home Design
for Astoria Homes. The homebuilder also was
honored for "Best Model Home Interior
Decoration - $18 per square foot and under" for
their Residence 480 model home in its Silverado
Lane community. The interior design team
was Design Dimensions.

is a Las Vegas - based homebuilder with expected
home closings to exceed 800 this year. Astoria's

The majority of the Astoria
Homes communities feature "Energy Star," an
EPA-approved system of ensuring that homes
are at least 30 percent more efficient than
the Model Energy Code. By using the "Energy
Star" program, homeowners save valuable
energy and also lower the cost of heating
and cooling their homes.
