Astoria Homes President
Named Among "Top 40 Under 40"
Tom McCormick, President
of Astoria Homes, has been chosen as
one of the 1998 Las Vegas Business Press
"Top 40 under 40."
McCormick is a dedicated
member of the community. He serves on
the Board of Catholic Charities, Community
Planning and Development Committee of
the Southern Nevada Homebuilders Association
and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
Tom and his wife Cristen adopted a baby
girl, Carlyn, through Catholic Charities
and serve as spokespeople for that project.
He also sponsors little league baseball
teams and recently donated $1,000 to
both the SPCA and Holy Family Day Care.
Astoria Homes won the
1997 Home of the Year Award from the
Southern Nevada Homebuilders Association.
The Homer Awards are Las Vegas' only
homebuilding industry awards and are
highly esteemed. Astoria Homes also
won four other Homer Awards and three
Finalist Awards in 1997.
McCormick is only 36 years
old and he was selected based on his
Leadership in Business, Business Recognition,
Community Involvement and Personal Achievements.
The 1998 honor was awarded to Las Vegas'
best in banking, media, development,
communication, gaming, medicine and
finance as well as homebuilding.
