Homer Awards Banquet Draws Home Builders
About 600 people attended the 14th Annual Home Awards
Banquet last night at The Mirage, where Astoria Homes and American West
Homes walked away with five awards a piece . . .
Astoria Homes received the "Home of the Year" for The Sunset
Plan at Summer Heights. In presenting the honor, the judges said , "The
appeal of this home was its community friendly design. It offers the
best and most creative use of space, with wise use of every square foot.
Its excellent design elements were commensurate to its target market."
The home was also recognized as Best Single Family Detached --- 1,551
to 2,000 square feet --- $120,001 to $140,000.
The builder's [Astoria Homes] third Homer was for Plan 150 at Silverado
Heights in the category of Best Single Family Detached --- 1,700 to
2,400 square feet --- $140,000 to $160,000. Also at Silverado Heights,
Plan 160 was honored as Best Single Family Detached --- 2,200 to 2,900
square feet --- $160,000 to $190,000.
The award for Best Project Logo --- Single Product or Master Planned
Community also went to Astoria Homes for its Summer Heights neighborhood.
